Spa on the Sofa

We’re in Lockdown right now (obviously) and I have vowed to come out of this situation better looking than I went in.

I’ve been chilling on the sofa for  more than a few nights so I decided to make the living room my personal spa. And by using the resources I have already got at home. It’s a super easy way to chill out at home! I also recommend trying to get your hubby or family involved too!

Firstly I wash my hair with my current favourite shampoo Keep Me Vivid (It does change a lot) and then give it a good towel dry. Then I comb through some Hydrasource Conditioning treatment. And I clip my hair up out of the way, or you could use a cool hair wrap like this one!! Hair is wrapped up getting rehydrated and I’m going to make sure it has plenty of time to get conditioned while I continue my essential maintenance.

I’ve the hair half sorted, now it’s time to pop on my lovely Cuddly Dressing Gown  (now in the sale) and get everything else prepped.

Mask Time: I’m not really a fan of sheet masks but I did see a video of someone using a Jade Roller over the top of her face mask, I know I have a few sheet masks sitting on my bathroom shelf and a roller in my drawer that never gets used! So I’m trying that! Here are a few popular  Sheet masks from Beauty Bay. Or you can check out this facebook group “Treat Yourself” full of body shop beauties or Click here to take you to the body shop website.

Feet: So I don’t have a fancy foot spa (yet) I use a good old kitchen basin! I make sure there’s loads of bubbles obviously, I generally use shower gel and I start it off with a good Foot Scrub and then soak. I’ve started popping in some essential oils into the foot bath too. Nice scrub and a good long soak, then I like to finish it all off with a nice massage using some Foot Cream, and get them toes painted.

Then it’s time to take the mask off and pop on my usual skincare and rinse out my conditioning treatment. I could say I go on to give myself a powerful blow-dry, but to be honest I usually let it dry naturally. I give it a light towel dry then, I spray some Miracle Creator Treat 20 (aka Magic spray) and use a little MATRIX style link Smooth Setter soothing Cream throughout my mid lengths and ends then I sprits some High Amplify Wonder Boost into my roots, give it a wee shake up and that’s usually my pamper time done.

I definitely don’t do a pamper night as much as I want to or should do for that matter. I usually only do one of the many steps. But when I do the full works I get the best sleep after.

I hope you guys feel inspired to switch up your nights in! Until next time

My favourite all rounder for Coloured hair: MATRIX total results Color Obsessed with vitamin E and sunflower oil this is perfect for getting your hair clean while keeping the colour tone and natural moisture. If you want to really pamper yourself then give Biolage Color Last a go.

Blonde ambition: To keep your perfect blonde blonde use Hello Blondie: Not to be confused with silver shampoos this is for what I would call ‘proper blonde’ more honey/nude/sandy/beachy blondes.

If Cool and Icy is your ticket then go for: Total Results So Silver this duo is sure neutralise and keep your icy locks cool this summer!! And if you like your shampoos a little more au natural (by that I mean with natural ingredients) how about the biology version Color Last Neutralize purple shampoo?

If you just need to stop the brass then the obvious choice is Total Results Brass Off ,this is ideal if your hair is prone to go a little brassy for whatever reason over time. It’s ideal for both Blondes and  Brunettes!

Then we have the new kid on the block: Dark Envy This is ideal if you are seeing red..undertones that is. It’s perfect for darker hair (like the name suggests) It’s perfect to help embrace your darker base and kill red

Now we have one of my favourites: Keep Me Vivid This is ideal from a reddy brown, a subtly pastel right through to a crazy red head or rainbow queen! It basically does what it says on the tin…. Keeps my hair VIVID!!!

In need of a little boost? Or hair just a little too limp for your liking? then you need this band boy: Total Results High Amplify another one of my favourite volumising shampoos is the biology version Volume Bloom

Frizzy hair got you down? then you need some Mega Sleek in you’r life! (check out the Iron Smoother heat protector)

Hair Knackered after a little too much chemical damage? give the Keratindose Trio a go! or is your hair naturally lacking condition? the biology Fiberstrong uses natural bamboo extracts to build up your hair from within. Use these like you would medicine.

Now you’ve had your pick of the shampoos how about my favourite Conditioning treatment: Hydrasource Treatment give your hair a good towel dry after shampooing and pop this magic potion in and leave for 10-30 mins.

And no hair care station should be complete without this bad boy in it: Total Results Miracle Creator Treat 20 or as we like to call MAGIC SPRAY! This is the leave in de-tangler you’ve been dreaming off! to has 20 benefits. but it smooths, de frizzes and smells super nice so wha more do you need?
