Why Norwex 2.0

If you know me you know I love all things Norwex (I have blogged about it before) as well as having a party or two before I also regulary have them on my social media. Well the other day I was about to place an order with my consultant when I got a txt from her all about her online parties. well that’s just perfect I thought.

1- I’ll get my washing powder.

2- I’ll not have to leave the house.

3- I’ll not even have to clean it.

4- I’ll not have to make you all tea and coffee (I really don’t mind that part) and watch you pop your cups willy nilly all over the place without using a coaster!

5- I will most definitely be in my Pyjamas, and if you’re coming you should be too!!

Anyway I was just going to share the blog from October 2019 (you can read it here…..) but I was re reading it and there was so much more I wanted to say. Because not only am I still using all my cloths, I’ve fallen in love with some new favourites and I’m only now just thinking about needing washing powder!

Here is the link to the catalogue if you just want to skip through all this waffle and look at the prices!! But read on if you’re interested in more of my opinions and my new favourites! I still love the Basic Package with the Enviro Cloth and Window Cloth

1- In my last blog I told you all I was going to order the washing powder (if you’re searching it it’s actually called Laundry Detergent), well I did. and I fully intended on keeping it until Emily was born. well I just couldn’t resist! I started to use it in October 2019 it is now June 2020! So One 1KG bag of Norwex Laundry Detergent is still going strong! at Β£23.99 divided by 7 months (starting in November) that’s really cost me less than Β£3.43 per month but realistically probably much less because there’s loads left, I just panic when I see things are going to need ordered soon and I HATE the thought of running out (do you know how many spare coffees I have in the house)

2- I also told you I was ordering the Baby Body Packs I’ve got two packs (plus some extras that were won at Leanne’s parties) and I use them everywhere! In my nappy bag, at the changing station, in the bath and at the high chair. Emily has even started grabbing them to chew on for her wee gums, and I don’t mind because I know its not a dirty cloth. I know they’re safe for her to do that with. Obviously if we use one for nappy changes its straight into a wash bag, but if we’re using one at feeding time I just give it a good wash and hang it up to dry for tomorrow.

3- I was very lucky to receive the Baby Hooded Towel Set as a baby present! and its just amazing. It’s the first Towel I go to grab when its bath time it’s just so cuddly and soft, what makes it so much better is the amount of uses I get out of it before it needs washed! I’ve just noticed that they’ve changed it it grey…. so maybe I need that one now too! πŸ˜‰

4- The magic Cleaning Paste, basically if your in need of something extra along with your Norwex cloths, this is it! It’s my go to oven cleaner, and believe me when I say there’s no smell and it takes two ticks along with the All-Purpose Kitchen Cloth and the window cloth to have my oven sparkling and gleaming at you! It’s also amazing at bringing old trainers back to life!

5- The Bottle Brush was another great buy! I love it for Emily’s bottles, literally cleaned in seconds and I’m not worrying about leaving any fairy liquid or anything on them before they go into the steriliser. I might pop another Enviro Sleeve onto my list, just because sometimes I’m in a panic to get the one that came with the brush into the washing machine and out and dried before I need it again. There are other Bottle Brush accessories to go with it that I might look into too.

Whats on my list this time? Well apart from the Laundry detergent, and i’ll probably purchase another baby packs. I really really want the mop. My steam mop died a death at the start of lock down and every time I mop my floor I just think how much easier it would be if I had the magic Norwex mop! It’s streaky, it takes way too long to sort out the mop and bucket (I still have one for the ‘dogs room’ and one for the ‘house’) It never dries quick enough, and I hate using floor cleaner now! Obviously I want the sexy Rose Gold one!! I know at Β£89.99 its a bit eye watering, but believe me when I tell you, anyone that has one does not have a bad word to say about it! And not one of them would tell you it wasn’t worth the money! Leanne does a much better job at explaining all its magic powers, but now more so than ever I don’t want to be using silly or nasty chemicals in my house, not to mention my floors. O did I not tell you? literally all you need to use with it is WATER!!! MAGIC!

I hope you enjoyed reading all about my Norwex obsession, click on the underlined text to bring you to the mentioned product! I’d love it if you could join me at the Facebook live to find out more from the expert herself. Just let me know and ill pop you on the party ‘guest list’

You are not super Woman… or are you?

You Are Not SuperWoman, You are NOT super Mum.. This is a phrase I have recently had to repeat to myself. Sometimes over and over. I think as new mums we put immense pressure on ourselves to function ‘normally’ I know I did. But lately because I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed as well as almost feeling guilty thinking about everything getting on top of me. I know we’re in lockdown and it feels like I must be the only person in the world who feels like she doesn’t have all this free time on her hands. I feel like I now have not one but two babies to look after and entertain all day.

I felt pressure to join in with the country walking the roads (not really wanting to admit I’m actually petrified of meeting people and not sure of the whole road crossing etiquette) I have started a 21 day plan that I do enjoy but it’s tough.

I also got very bored and very frustrated with the whole baking fade too. And I normally love getting the good olde Kitchenaid out for some serious baking. but since gluten free flour was 1- Super hard to find in the shops and 2- Nothing is ever simple( or nice for that matter) without adding a ridiculous amount of weird named gels and gums. NOPE not for me right now. I did attempt numberous recipes but they were just below the bar looks and taste wise.

I’ve tried umpteen hair and makeup looks that have all been a bit on the crap side of things, I’ve recorded numerous hours of substandard hairstyle footage. It’s taken me over two weeks to edit an 8 minute clip, and that’s only because half of the footage has went walkies. And i’m still not happy with it.

I put immense pressure on myself to turn up (virtually) to Baby sensory. With both Emily and myself immaculately presented. Just so I can feel slightly better about myself and take a few fun photos of Emily dressed up.

I still haven’t logged on to the open university to start the creative writing course I signed up for the very first day of lockdown!  So therefore I still haven’t started my awesome best seller book! If I get to ‘work out’ a day and manage a shower the house is in ruins. It took me until today to prime photo frames for the Salon that I had intended to do before we were even talking about lockdown. Not to mention getting started on miss Emilys room revamp. and possibly the length of time its taking me to getting around to finishing this blog!

I’ve cried because we can’t open our salon, and it feels like that possibility is getting further and further away, I miss our clients so much! I miss coffee dates with the bump buddies, I miss a drink after work with my friend, I miss real life book clubs and I miss my mum!

But you know what I have done? I’ve had so many lazy mornings just the three of us, That we will never have the chance to have ever again! I’ve got to watch Emily play and see her character grow. She’s had unlimited cuddles and fun.  I’ve started spoon feeds,  something I was dreading, and you know what I’m enjoying the time to sit down with her and take our time experimenting. We’re Spending proper time together as a family. and its felt like we are back in that newborn bubble we were in when Emily was just born. And I’m so thankful that we can be at home together safe. I don’t know how other people do it when I’m still sacred to go to the shops.

I was feeling so sorry for anyone that is pregnant right now with what they’re facing. And I was taking pity on someone I seen with a tiny baby in a pram when I realised I also had a tiny baby in a pram! And it dawned on me that us new mums are literally bringing up our babies in a pandemic! When we could do with all the support and help that we can get but we can’t get it from our friends and families right now. We’re already making it up as we go along never mind making it up and not being able to compare stories about poo and over coffee and cookies because of corona.

So even though I have a loooong list of to do’s, deep down I have a feeling that I and pretty much every other mum in similar shoes am/are supermum (you have no idea how many times my laptop has tried to change that to superman) I am superwoman… We’re all supermums and super women. Literally running our world while we’re cleaning up the kitchen. Even more so making it up as we go along. Especially in this scary world we live in! Here’s to you!

Spa on the Sofa

We’re in Lockdown right now (obviously) and I have vowed to come out of this situation better looking than I went in.

I’ve been chilling on the sofa for  more than a few nights so I decided to make the living room my personal spa. And by using the resources I have already got at home. It’s a super easy way to chill out at home! I also recommend trying to get your hubby or family involved too!

Firstly I wash my hair with my current favourite shampoo Keep Me Vivid (It does change a lot) and then give it a good towel dry. Then I comb through some Hydrasource Conditioning treatment. And I clip my hair up out of the way, or you could use a cool hair wrap like this one!! Hair is wrapped up getting rehydrated and I’m going to make sure it has plenty of time to get conditioned while I continue my essential maintenance.

I’ve the hair half sorted, now it’s time to pop on my lovely Cuddly Dressing Gown  (now in the sale) and get everything else prepped.

Mask Time: I’m not really a fan of sheet masks but I did see a video of someone using a Jade Roller over the top of her face mask, I know I have a few sheet masks sitting on my bathroom shelf and a roller in my drawer that never gets used! So I’m trying that! Here are a few popular  Sheet masks from Beauty Bay. Or you can check out this facebook group “Treat Yourself” full of body shop beauties or Click here to take you to the body shop website.

Feet: So I don’t have a fancy foot spa (yet) I use a good old kitchen basin! I make sure there’s loads of bubbles obviously, I generally use shower gel and I start it off with a good Foot Scrub and then soak. I’ve started popping in some essential oils into the foot bath too. Nice scrub and a good long soak, then I like to finish it all off with a nice massage using some Foot Cream, and get them toes painted.

Then it’s time to take the mask off and pop on my usual skincare and rinse out my conditioning treatment. I could say I go on to give myself a powerful blow-dry, but to be honest I usually let it dry naturally. I give it a light towel dry then, I spray some Miracle Creator Treat 20 (aka Magic spray) and use a little MATRIX style link Smooth Setter soothing Cream throughout my mid lengths and ends then I sprits some High Amplify Wonder Boost into my roots, give it a wee shake up and that’s usually my pamper time done.

I definitely don’t do a pamper night as much as I want to or should do for that matter. I usually only do one of the many steps. But when I do the full works I get the best sleep after.

I hope you guys feel inspired to switch up your nights in! Until next time
